International Conference on Combating Illicit Tobacco Trade and Related crimes

From 27 to 31 October 2018 in the University of National and World Economy was held an International Conference on Combating Illicit Tobacco Trade and Related crimes. The conference was organized within the framework of the project Contraband and Counterfeit Risk Identification (Business process analysis and Spatial aspect). The project is funded by PMI IMPACT, a global grant initiative by Philip Morris International to support projects against illegal trade and related crimes.

The experts from UNWE, which are part of the project research team, as well as guests from research institutions from Lithuania, South Africa, Serbia, Italy and Romania took part in the event. There were also guests from National Association of Tobacco Growers, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

The topics presented at the conference lead to fruitful discussions and ideas for future development of the research activities of the project team.

Round Table Discussions on “Contraband & Counterfeit Risk Identification (Business Process Analysis and Spatial Aspect)”

The team of the “Contraband & Counterfeit Risk Identification (Business Process Analysis and Spatial Aspect)” project organizes Round Table Discussion, to be held on 11-15 June 2018 in the Small Conference Hall at the University of National and World Economy. The event will be officially opened on June 11 at 1 p.m.

The purpose of the Round Table is to bring together experts from national and international public, private and academic sectors to which the current results of the conducted researches will be presented for the purpose of the discussion. Within the event, other methodologies and suggestions for improvements may be discussed.
